Our seminary manage various types Outreach programs.
OVBS
Every year before the start of school vacations, the Seminary students are busy preparing songs and printed materials for the Orthodox Vacation Bible School (OVBS) programs. In year 2009, the theme God the Healer (Psalm 103:3) was adopted. This was done under the leadership of Dr. Ipe Varghese and Dn Saju V. Philip. Fr. Kurien Thomas, the new OVBS director at the OKR level, has introduced a VCD for teaching songs, skits and dances. This was well accepted by the teachers as well as the children. Every year OVBS classes are looked forward to with great enthusiasm by both Parents and Teachers.
ODYM
Orthodox Diaspora Youth Meet (ODYM) is held once a year to bring together Orthodox Youth. The meeting for the year 2009 was held at St. Andrew’s Orthodox Church in Secunderabad. A team of students and the faculty members were leading the event during 4 to 7 June 2009. It was attended by about 150 youngsters. Fr. Vinod George, the committee members of his parish and the vicars of Hyderabad gave us a lot of support.
