Satsangh Meeting: Theme - Unity & Autonomy of the Malankara Orthodox Church

The first session of the Satsangh during the second semester of the academic year, was held on December 14th, 2011. The main speacker of the session was H. G. Dr. Mathews Mar Severios, Metropolitan of Kandanad West Diocese and Synod secretary. The theme for this meeting was “Unity & Autonomy of the Malankara Orthodox Church”.

H. G. Mar Severios had joined  H. H. The Catholicose during the week long fast of the Kolencherry Satyagraha of Sep, 2011. The Satyagraha was done to protest the failure of the Judiciary to implement the court orders for the Kollenchery Church. The court orders were issued in favour of the Malankara Church. During the Satsangh meeting, His Grace shared his first hand experiences related to the Kollenchery issue. His Grace  also went on to explain the history of the church for the past 2000 years.

The Satsangh was a very informative session in regards to the issues related to the Kollenchery Church.  It was better understood through His Grace’s speech.
